Live And Loud 2007: Shaggadelic!

Alright, the main highlight of the night was of course Whitney Houston, as this concert is her 'comeback' concert, but i don't think i would want to talk about her performance. Not being able to take pictures is one thing, but it just wasn't what i expected out of a Diva.

But then again! We have Shaggy! The King of Reggae!

Shaggy came on at approximately 11pm and it was an hour of non stop action filled with comedy and cheeky teases to the ladies. I've never seen Shaggy perform live but when i was young i used to listen to all his music such as "Summer Time" and of course who can forget the legendary Levi's commercial "Mr. Boombastic!"

Shaggy Teasing into Mr. Boombastic
Being able to catch him performing Live is indeed a great experience as his songs brought me back to the times when i was a lil kid listening to all my brother's Shaggy cassette collections. All featuring artistes who were in his album were also present to sing along to familiar tunes such as "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel".
He was practically in control of the crowd. I gotta give it up to this guy, he got the crowd on their feet screaming for more. And also got the whole crowd throwing up the middle finger! that was hilarious!
if you ask me who was the best of the night, it would have been, apart from our local acts, Shaggy. He'll be the reason why i never regretted going for The Live And Loud Concert in KL 2007.

Live And Loud 2007

On the 1st of December, i managed to get 2 media passes to attend Malaysia's biggest concert ever, Live and Loud. If you don't already know, Live and Loud started on the 23rd of November till the 2nd of December showcasing over 50 artistes from both local and international with some of the biggest names such as Whitney Houston and Also Shaggy.

I attended Turn On The Pop where artistes such as Shaggy, Elliot Yamin and Whitney Houston were set to perform. I arrived together with Juelle at about half past four and managed to catch Mode who were already halfway through their set.
I've never heard of the band Mode before and i do hope that i got their band name right, but the first thing i heard him say was "gosh its like 35 degrees out here!", i second that, and a few from the crowd would second that too...
if you're wondering, she was using it to shade herself
i wasn't really paying attention to the next couple of bands who wet up right after Mode (one of them being the James Taylor Quartet), but soon enough, Hannah Tan took the stage.
this is actually the first time i'm actually seeing her perform live. i didn't event knew who she was to begin with but when i was in Perth i had a lot of friends telling me about Hannah's latest album which was released last year. i can't comment much but she's definitely and eye candy for the guys.
and right after her set i headed backstage for a meet and greet session with one of the international stars who were performing that night, and happened to bump into the lil upcoming diva herself. so yeah.....what else? ;)
she's kinda petite up close

my next post......
