Well, above is one of my favorite videos from them. Its a music video they made for Magnetic North. Enjoy.

Place of Serenity

i am hoping, that one day i would be able to go back to the place that helped develop the character i am now. Although it was only a short stay, but it was enough for me to do a lil soul searching and realize what i am really capable of.
i only regretted once i left Perth, wishing that i would be able to get a job there and instantly go back there to live, what you would call, the comfortable life over there where every thing's calm and serene but i would really wonder if it would have been otherwise if i did actually stay.
i studied in Curtin University of Technology Majoring in Marketing and was only able to go there for a semester due to commitments i had with the band which delayed my schedule to head off abroad. i never really intended to leave Malaysia for further studies in the beginning but there was something in me telling me that i might just regret it in the future if i didn't get a taste of what an off shore campus would be like, heck i'm already getting really old (some people think i'm 26, shit!).
i made a trip back to Perth recently this year for my graduation, and i am intending to go back next year again for my annual break. hopefully it'll be permanent this time ;)
thank you for your time

Paintball

AMP Radio Networks recently had a Paintball tournament and i was representing AMP Bandits, though we didn't win but the team spirit was there and it was kinda cool for once to actually let loose and forget about work and have fun. The best part about this was we were given unlimited ammunition to work with (though that didn't really help much as i keep gettign head shot!). There were altogether 12 teams and we managed to get into the top 8 which was really an achievement for the team. I only remember playing Paintball only once when i followed a bunch of friends up to Bukit Tinggi for a Paintball weekend.

i didn't really get a chance to get into the field to take pictures though as i was just afraid my lenses might just be caught in the middle of the crossfire and there goes my investment. but here are some pictures that i would like to share with you guys.

these were our guns, they're called 'markers'
here's the Mix Team, they only won 1 match against MY FMthis is the hitz.fm team, they were winning all the way but lost to the team that we trashed flat out, the MIT Pirates
and this is part of my team, we lost in the quarter finals to the team we defeated during the league round, what luck
And i'm now looking forward for the next Paintball Challenge. Anyone up for Paintball?

Wang Lee Hom: Change Me Part 2

Lee Hom came out to sing 3 numbers that night, and right after that, the autograph session commenced. But before that, the members of the media were invited on stage to take a picture with the crowd as his background. i was struggling to take a good picture, but i guess the one below was the best i could get.with that done, on to the next. you have to admire Lee Hom for being really patient as he just sat there for 3 straight hours, signing albums after albums after albums. He ensured that all albums will be signed before he leaves.
so he gives the thumbs up!
and then goes on auto-pilot for the next three hours
but someone that night caught my attention, and i managed to get a picture of her way before the concert actually started.
this is Bel
Bel had an unfortunate accident as a child, only realizing at the age of 15, that it affected her sight. That night with all the lights being so bright, it affected her vision and caused her to feel really uncomfortable, also, not being able to get a glimpse of her idol on stage. Frustration overruled and caused her to get really upset.
Lee Hom, on the other hand, noticed her and stopped signing all autographs to just attend to her and consoled her. Not only is he a talented singer, but he cares about his fans dearly. I have utmost respect for this guy.
Well Bel, warm wishes from me, and best wishes to you. You're a hero by just keeping your chin up and not letting anything get in your way. I only wish you'll be able to seek what you're longing for. This will be my final post for Lee Hom's showcase in Malaysia, its been a memorable event, lots of passionate fans, and a gifted musician with a BIG heart. Big shoutout to Homaniacs, you guys are awesome! And this post, goes out to Bel.

Best Regards,
Jin

Wang Lee Hom: Change Me Part 1

On the 9th of November 2007, which was last Friday, i was fortunate enough to get an invitation to catch Wang Lee Hom's showcase in Sungei Wang. I was seated right in front of the stage but i didn't bother sitting down for the whole show as i was trying to get as many shots as i can.

This guy is one of my inspirations when it comes to making music. I mean, how would he not be an inspiration to all, he sings, plays the violin, drums, piano, guitar and along the way the list builds up and and you'll know when you listen to all his albums.

So back to the showcase, i didn't know how much, but by my rough estimation i think around 4,000 fans were gathered up at the 4th floor open air car park to await their Hero. Tell me what you think from this picture?
here's how the stage looked like that night
The whole showcase was hosted by our very own Phoebe of MY FM
And just before the show started, there were some games played on stage where they got some fans on stage to sing a song or two from the album.
And finally, who everyone was eagerly waiting to see finally made his way up on stage to sing a couple of numbers taken from his latest album entitled "Change Me"

The Click Five Live in KL Part 2

Ok, Shooting an event ain't easy i must admit. Especially when you have hundreds of screaming fans pushing their way through to get a great view of their idols. I covered The Click Five Showcase in Hard Rock Cafe earlier last night and here are some pictures that i would like to share with all of you.

Here are some die hard fans, who pretty much lined up at 8am in the morning just to be the first in line to catch a glimpse of their favourite superstars up close. I admire the time and dedication they went through just to make it to watch the boys play live. they're from Penang btw.

the die hard fans

Joey G was the host for tonight (he hosted last year too with Sarah)

And, the show begins
i must say, that out of all the members of the band, Kyle Patrick (the latest edition to the band) was really all hyped up and could really put up a show, jumping up the speakers and stage diving etc, i'll let the pictures do the talking

Overall a very successful show, they've totally improved by a milestone as compared to the first time they they came down to Malaysia last year. i know that a few of you fans out there had your pictures taken by me. if you want the pictures please visit my flickr site. you can download the pictures for free, but remember to say thank you.

The Click Five Live in KL

I got an invite by Sherlyn of Warner Music to be the Official Photographer for The Click Five's Promo Tour in KL. Apologies to Sher for not being able to make for the days requested but i managed to catch them live at Tower Records just this evening. I remember performing together with them when they were down here for their first promo tour back in April 2006 and back then, the lead singer was different.

And now they have a new lead singer of the band, Kyle Patrick, who was practically eye candy for all the girls present. Here are some pictures to share.
and this was non other than Kyle Patrick, the Newest member of the band. I only know his name but not the rest

the roaring fans *faints*

one more pose for the cameras

thanks once again to Sherlyn, and Melvin. Looking forward to working with you again and congratulations on The Click Five's Promo.
